Picacho Peak
Also along the way, we passed near Palm Springs, CA and saw their huge and multiple wind farms. The hills around the city are filled with tall and baby sized wind generators. It looks like they have been using this alternate power source for many years.Part of Palm Springs' wind farms
We arrived in Pasadena around 5:00 and met Kurt, Lillie's long time friend. He lives in a fabulous top floor condo about two blocks from downtown Pasadena, with three bedrooms, living, dining, kitchen, etc and three outdoor patios. I told him he should swap houses with us - I could totally live there! Needless to say, he wasn't interested!

Kurt fixed us a wonderful dinner then took us on a litttle mini tour of Pasadena on the way to our hotel. It was dark, so no pictures, but we saw the Rose Bowl, Old Town and a couple of the tents where they were decorating floats.
Then to bed to get up early for the next day - LA from Skid Row to Beverly Hills!
